Everything's fine, I was just wondering...did you get bitten about a year ago? By a wolf, I mean. About a year ago now, just before I got to town?
[ she's not even really sure what she wants the answer to be. either way, this is confusing as hell and she's kind of internally freaking out here. sorry, sky. ]
["Just like Scott," she wants to add. Because talking to Danny and Stiles has made it pretty clear to her that there's some weird parallel thing going on between her and Scott, even if they're still not sure what it is.]
[ and this is just about the strangest thing she's encountered so far, honestly. she can just about handle space, just about handle zombies, but now her ex (and if there was ever a word far too small to encompass their complicated relationship it's that) is a girl and she just...doesn't know how to process that one.
welp indeed. ]
So were me and you...?
[ because obviously that's the main thing to be discussed here :| ]
[There's a time lapse - just long enough for Sky to run her hands through her hair and try to think of a way to keep Allison from freaking out - before she sends off another message:]
[ and really, there are so many bigger issues here than her personal life. there's so much that she's doing right now, far too much that she's worrying about, but this?
this is still a big deal. it's not quite the sledgehammer that kate's arrival caused, but it's pretty damn close. this is her ex boyfriend...as a girl. and it makes sense, in a weird kind of a way. the similarities are all too obvious now that she's put two and two together. she just doesn't quite know what to make of that yet. ]
[It may not be the biggest issue that needs dealing with, but it's still an issue, and it's just as boggling on Sky's end. There's a boy version of her running around, and that's who Allison's history-and-not-so-history is with? It's weird, thinking about someone so important to you being with... another you, so to speak. Sky's not sure how to handle it.]
It's okay. [not entirely. but...] It's not your fault. It's not anyone's fault actually.
[ Give her back the zombies any day, at least she kind of knows what she's doing there.
Seriously, Allison isn't bad at emotional stuff by any means, it's just that when things get this complicated she starts to panic, and when she starts to panic all she wants to do is go and shoot a target for a few hours until her mind is numb enough that she can think properly again. Unfortunately that's not an option here, so instead she's just trying to stumble her way through this as best as possible.
Because Sky definitely brings out something in her, she just doesn't know how to place it. She doesn't even know how to describe it, almost like it's some kind of phantom limb syndrome except where the limb was never really hers to begin with. ]
[It's less of a phantom limb on her end, and more like being sucked into an episode of The Twilight Zone where you never existed, and someone else is living your life. Of course her feelings for Allison are still the same, even if this isn't "her" Allison - from her own version of Beacon Hills. It's still Allison. There's just a brand new level of complication involved now. (As if they didn't have enough of that before.)
And... you'd think someone would know her, yes, but...]
No one. They all know Scott - not me. It's been really weird.
[Weird enough to make her think she's gone crazy, if she lets herself sit and spin on it, which she's trying really hard not to do.]

We were.

But didn't you say you knew Scott? Not me?
[... Probably not gonna go as she hopes.]

I'm sorry.

[Doesn't make it sting or confuse any less.]

Is there anyone here who knows you as you?
[ There's so many of them, one has got to, right?
:c ]
